I was asked recently, what does motherhood means to me?
Motherhood is everything, from the time I held my sweet little Yash in my arms, I felt all the love in the world. As a first time mom of course there was some nervousness behind my smile, I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it but I knew I was not along and I was ready to take on this adventure. Taking care of Yash was such a joy, he was always a happy baby until when it came to sleeping, he never liked going to bed.
Fast forward six and a half years, we are fortunately to have Maya, she will be two soon; she is so full of energy and doesn’t let us slip by a word in peace, she is always on queue and guess what, she too doesn’t like going to bed :).
Being Yash and Maya’s mom definitely taught me a thing or two, I have learned to slow down and take it all in, enjoy the little moments. I have learned that making pizza doesn't have to be perfect, they will eat it and be happy.
Motherhood is exhausting, it test me to my limits and show me the strength I didn’t know I had. Motherhood is being there for my babies whenever they need me, to hold them tight, to cuddle them, to love them. It warms my heart like no other. Thank you Yash and Maya for making me your mama.
This Mother’s Day we are all spending it a bit different and may not get to see our moms, but we know they will always be there for us. Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, mother- in - law, sisters and to all you fantastic mama’s out there. Hope you all have a pleasant day!
